Areas of application. Proctology
Up to 30% of the population suffers from proctologic diseases the most extensive of which hemorrhoid is — from 13% up to 28% of patients in proctologic hospitals. Therefore the search and introduction in medical practice of out-patient methods of hemorrhoid treatment is made, and one of which is cryosurgical method.

In out-patient facilities, cryodestruction of hemorrhoid in more than 550 patients is made (hemorrhoid of the 1st degree - 23,5% of patients, 2nd degree — 26%, 3rd degree — 47%, 4th degree — 3%).
Cryodestruction was made with using of universal computerized cryosurgical unit “Cryo-Pulse” on liquefied nitrogen. “Cryo-Pulse” has technical opportunities ensuring cryodestruction of specified volume of biological tissue, namely: high refrigerating power, precise measurement of cryosurgery temperature, dosed heat rejection from freezable volume, automatic control of cryosurgery process. The technique of local cryosurgery on separate interior hemorrhoidal nodes was used in the operations. The main advantages of cryohemorrhoidectomy are good tolerability in patients, painlessness and exsanguinity, possibility of operations without anaesthetization, considerable decrease in time of temporary disability.
Considering possible deviations in improper cryosurgery procedure, cryodestruction of hemorrhoidal nodes should be made by highly skilled doctors-proctologists trained at the State Proctologic Centre.
